Peer Review Process

SUDONG: JSPCS implements a double-blind peer review policy, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential.

Each submission is assigned by the Editor-in-Chief to a member of the Editorial Board, who selects two peer reviewers.

An initial screening of the manuscript is conducted to ensure that the format aligns with journal guidelines. Plagiarism checks are conducted using Turnitin, with a maximum similarity threshold of 30%.

Following this check, the manuscript is forwarded by the assigned editor to the review team for evaluation. Authors are expected to regularly monitor the system to check the status of the review process.

If the manuscript is accepted with revisions, authors may be required to revise their work within a specified timeframe: 2 weeks for minor revisions and 1 month for major revisions. Extensions may be granted at the editor’s discretion. If deadlines are not met, the manuscript will be treated as a new submission and will undergo a fresh review process.

When submitting a revised manuscript, authors must include a summary of changes made. If the revisions are minor, the manuscript may be accepted without further review.

Final decisions are based on the reviewers' evaluations and will be communicated to the authors along with the reviewers' comments. Manuscripts may be rejected for various reasons, including but not limited to misalignment with the journal's scope, not solely based on quality.

Authors should ensure they regularly check the system or the email registered in the system for updates on the review process. Upon completion of the review process, a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) may be issued upon request to the Editor-in-Chief via Email: chiefsudong@penulismudaindonesia.com
