About the Journal

SUDONG: Journal of Social, Political, and Cultural Sciences (JSPCS) is a fully open-access international journal that upholds scientific standards through a rigorous peer-review process. We consider publications for any manuscript that is accurate and holds scientific value. SJSPCS welcomes various types of articles, including empirical studies, theoretical articles, case studies, research methodologies, and literature reviews, with a focus on social, political, and cultural issues through interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches.

Aims and Scope

SUDONG: JSPCS focuses on issues related to society's social, political, and cultural aspects. We publish research findings from academics, researchers, and professionals while upholding scholarly standards through a peer review process to ensure the quality of the published papers.

Our journal is published three times a year (April, August, and December) and is openly accessible to all individuals and institutions free of charge.

This journal accepts papers related to social, political, and cultural issues, covering topics such as social transformation and change, civil society movements, conflict transformation, democracy, radicalism and terrorism, gender, social development, community welfare, economic modernization, cultural literacy, Cross-cultural communication, cultural heritage, urban and rural ethnography, local wisdom, media culture, identity politics, political strategies, public management and policy, politics and international security, international relations, and political economy. The journal also welcomes papers from various academic perspectives, including Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Social Policy, Communication science studies, Regional Planning, Cultural and Media Studies, Development Studies, and Social Welfare.

We accept manuscript submissions for peer review before they are considered for publication.

Paper Structure

The structure of the manuscript follows the IMRaD format, consisting of Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References. Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 7,000 words with 1.5 spacing. Citation and reference management must be done using Mendeley.

Peer Review Procces

SUDONG: JSPCS implements a double-blind peer review policy, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential.

Each submission is assigned by the Chief Editor to a member of the Editorial Board, who selects two peer reviewers based on their expertise. The final decision is made based on the received reviews and communicated to the author along with reviewer comments.

Authors may be required to revise their manuscript, with a 2-week deadline for minor revisions and 1 month for major revisions. Extensions may be granted at the editor’s discretion. If the deadline is not met, the manuscript will be treated as a new submission and undergo a fresh review process.

When submitting a revised manuscript, authors must include a summary of changes. If the revisions are minor, the manuscript may be accepted without further review.

Manuscripts may be rejected for various reasons, including misalignment with the journal’s scope, not solely due to their quality.

Open Access Policy

SUDONG: JSPCS is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely accessible. Currently, we do not charge any article processing fees or submission fees for all authors.
